Daily Tips, Quotes, and Why They Exist
If you’ve been following our Facebook or Twitter accounts recently you’ll have noticed that a few new things are being posted.
That’s partly to do with me (Sam), recently coming on board the Freshly Squeezed Samples team to help out with various jobs and projects including writing articles for this blog, recording video tutorials, and making the social media channels a bit more lively.
What’s changed? That’s the question. Let me go through two new additions to our social media profiles.
Daily Tips – Educational Quick Tips for Everyone
As some of you may know, I run a blog called EDMProd, for which I used to post short and concise tips every day on its respective Facebook page. While they did well and everyone liked them, I figured that they’d get more reach on the Freshly Squeezed Samples page.
This has rung true. Many of you are enjoying the daily tips, finding them helpful, and sharing them.
The daily tips are a great way for us to provide helpful content between our product releases, blog posts, and interviews. However, some people expect a little more from a company like us, which is why we’ve also been posting…
Quotes
Whether you read them to get out of the bed in the morning, or search frantically to find something inspirational to share on your personal Facebook page, quotes are powerful.
If you’ve been following our Facebook page for the last two weeks or so, then you’ll have noticed that a few music-related quotes have been posted. These quotes aren’t going to necessarily help you make the next hit track, but they may inspire you. After all, it’s easy to get a little down in the dumps as a producer. You know, with how lucrative it is...
When and Where?
In a perfect world we’d all be in the same time zone, but due to a number of reasons that’s not going to happen.
We post a tip once per day between the hours of 4PM and 8PM GMT, as this is when most of you are online (according to Facebook). However, this may change with experimentation, as we want to reach as many of you as possible.
I’m asleep during those hours. I’ll never see the Daily Tips!
Well, fortunately for you there’s a nifty trick you can do with Facebook pages called "get notifications.” Simply head on over to our Facebook page, click on the liked button (or like if you haven’t done that yet), and then select Get Notifications. Now you can wake up and be instantly notified of what’s new on our page, including the Daily Tips.
All this talk about Facebook… does Twitter get some love? Absolutely! We post each Daily Tip on Twitter too. If you haven’t followed us, then you can do so here.
