Don't ask me why, but I currently own more than 400 Sylenth1 soundbanks full of patches. Most of the time, I start from scratch and create my own sounds but sometimes you're just in need for some extra inspiration.
It can be frustrating to start browsing through a bank of presets, only to find out it has only 8 presets and none of ‘em spark any inspiration.

You can pay the likes of £15-30 for a badly produced 30-50 patch bank...or a £20 sample bundle that only has 10 kicks, 20 loops, 10 FX and the worst vocals you've ever heard in your life! Amazing collection of presets, loads of super-phat, usable sounds. Perfect for any kind of electronic dance music genre, this is really all you need for an up-to-date production. Many of the sounds went into my tracks directly, I use the whole library a lot and it's pure fun to step through the list.
The variety is more than comprehensive; all sorts of sounds are covered in many ways. Especially the basses and lead sections are quite impressive. Top quality work!
Zebra Essential Collection Volume 2Same extra high quality as Zebra Essential Collection Volume 1 with a more trance based approach. The collection perfectly completes Volume 1 and again, there is so much stuff in there, it's just a pleasure surfing through the presets! All sounds are perfectly crafted and can go into a track directly. But I had real fun when I started tweaking them… Again all thumbs up - must have collection!

It's crazy, but I am using this sound set it in every single production since it was released and I don't use any other sound sets for Massive. With over 880+ presets I feel like I own literally EVERYTHING in the trance/progressive genres. Every single sound gives instant inspiration, it’s like a magic charm I just can't go wrong with it. The quality of the presets is equally incredible with the detailed macro options, so it's not like 880 presets, but twice as many or more!
I used a lot of sound sets already for many synths, but this is just the best sound set for one of the best plugins, no doubt.

AirbaseSome say presets are just lazy shortcuts, and they are dead wrong. To me, presets are the biggest source of inspiration on any track I work with. As is, or tweaked, it's the fastest way to materialize ideas or to inspire my next big project.
The market is flooded with sound sets of questionable quality, but I've found my safe haven in the extremely high quality work of Freshly Squeezed Samples. They have proven repeatedly that they know what they are doing. Without their sound sets, I doubt many of my tracks of recent years would be the way I wanted them. My 2012 release Airbase - Uppercut (A State of Trance) and my upcoming 2013 single Modus Operandi (A State of Trance) are both built on a foundation of tweaked and un-tweaked sounds from the creative minds at Freshly Squeezed Samples. If you're a Zebra fan, do yourself a favour and check out their Zebra Essential Collection Volume 1 and 2 sound sets.

MoonsoulsI've been using Freshly Squeezed Samples sound sets in my own productions for the past 2-3 years. What drew me in the most is the variety and the quality of sounds in there. While browsing through many other sound sets and sample packs on other websites, I just lost the patience to look further because of bad demos that presented them. With FSS it only took one demo to realize the quality, dedication and love that you could hear in each and every sound. Afterwards I didn't bother with anyone else!

First of all the website is user friendly and has a wide variety of sounds and samples for all of your production needs. I have used these sounds & samples in many of my productions that have been released over the past year or so. For the more beginner producers there are stacks full of pre-set sounds that won't need any further programming and you can use them right away. Power at your fingertips! I was also impressed with the quality of the audio samples from freshly squeezed. These can be added to your tracks right away. I would 100% recommend the range of Freshly Squeezed Samples products to any level of music producer from beginner to advanced.

Danny ChenThis is truly an amazing midi pack. There is seriously tons of value to be had from this. Every kit included contains the basic essential building blocks of a song. You can instantly tell from the melodies and chord progressions that a lot of time was devoted to making it amazing. A lot of these melodies are just wonderful. This is valuable because of the immense knowledge that can be had studying each part and how they fit together. Not only that, for newcomers who aren't great at writing melodies yet, well this is actually great because you can shift focus to creating banging percussion, syncopation and experimenting with various parts of production such as compression and picking the right sounds (making them the best as they can be). Making a kick ass drum kit is just as important as the melodies, so there is great practice to be had to pick the right sounds that meld together well which is personally what I'll be doing.

Simon BostockI'm always on the lookout for new instrument banks and buying them can be a bit of a gamble at times, even if these demo tracks sound really convincing. But seriously, I honestly have to say that I was really surprised of the high quality and detail of all the presets that came in both the Freshly Squeezed Samples Sylenth1 and V-Station banks.
There are stacks of bases, leads, pads, plucks and effects that will suite all styles of electronic dance music that will rip your monitors and keep you busy. These banks have been used in the "Flying" and "Heartfelt" remixes as well as my original "Overload" track.
I would highly recommend you buying these packs because you'll certainly end up having these in your favourite’s folder and loading them up at least once a session.

Writing hooks is easier for me when playing around with rich sounding leads. Also, you can just grab one of those leads or basses used in well-known hits and add your own flavour to it. You can get the sound that you're looking for in no time. At the same time it inspires me to use those familiar sounds in a completely different context.
These sound sets boost my creativity and enhance my work flow!

I find that a lot of sound banks contain some good sounds but are generally filled out with presets I simply cannot use. The new Sean Tyas & Porter Sylenth1 Essential Volume 1 bank couldn't be further away from that. This bank is filled with presets that cut through the mix with little processing. Highly recommended.
